Welcome to the Poe PTO
As part of the Poe community, EVERYONE is automatically a member of the Poe PTO with voting rights. This includes all parents, teachers, and administrators. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enrich the education and lives of our students, teachers and administrators. Our PTO is known for a long–standing partnership of families, school administration, teachers and students promoting a strong foundation for learning and success.
The Poe PTO provides volunteers and financial support for educational programs, field trips, career week, technology upgrades, campus improvement projects and preservation of our historic building.
As Poe Elementary friends and family, we are fortunate to be part of such an extraordinary community. The continued support of families like yours is what makes Poe what it is today. To remain extraordinary, Poe depends on support from the Poe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to continue programs, sponsor events, and purchase items by supplementing the funding from TEA and HISD.
You are invited to join us for monthly meetings (check the Poe Elementary School Calendar for dates) and be part of the effort to provide Poe students with a strong foundation for learning and success. We have many volunteer opportunities waiting for you. Your involvement will make Poe Elementary the best place for our children to learn and grow. When you get involved you have the voting power to affect change. Some examples of how PTO funds have been allocated in the past include facilities maintenance, landscaping, smart boards and computers, library improvements, and instructional materials.
On Tuesdays once per month at 8:00 a.m. in the Poe Elementary Cafeteria
Attendees: All parents, teachers and administrators are automatically members of the PTO with voting rights. We welcome you to the PTO and and encourage you to attend PTO meetings and be part of the effort.
