Poe Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2 - 6, 2011

Please join us in celebrating National Teacher Appreciation week starting May 2 - 6th. It's a special week of honoring teachers and staff and letting them know they are appreciated! Activities during the week include breakfast and lunches donated by local restaurants, ten-minute chair relaxation massages, cake and dessert party, and other surprises.

Poe Teacher Appreciation Week - English  /  Spanish

Here is how you can help:

Monday: Have your child say thank you by bringing a FLOWER from your garden or otherwise. Flowers can be collected all week long and placed in a vase in their hallway. At the end of the week, they will have a bouquet! Don't forget Ancillary teachers.

Tuesday: Color and cut out the FLOWER PICTURE that will be in your Monday folder. Bring it to your teacher for display!  See attachments above if you need another copy of the picture.

Wednesday: Have your child pay his or her teacher a COMPLIMENT, tell her something he or she likes about him/her and bring a DESSERT to the teachers (Drop off in AM in the lounge)

Thursday: Cut out the THANK YOU note in your Monday folder. Write down how you appreciate your teacher. Return it to your teacher on Thursday.   See attachments above if you need another copy of the letter template.

Friday: Have your child give his /her teacher a HUG or HANDSHAKE for a job well done at the end of the week.
